Aplicativo ajuda a salvar mulheres na Turquia
Uma em cada três mulheres é vítima de violência doméstica na Turquia. Por isso e com a intenção de tornar o mundo um lugar mais seguro para as mulheres, a Y&R Team Red Istambul criou um app inovador, para ajudar mulheres em situação de perigo. Esse aplicativo quando accionado pela usuária, apenas sacudindo o celular, envia uma mensagem de alerta e pedido de ajuda para 3 contatos de emergência, previamente cadastrados pela usuária, junto com a localização da mulher.
Mensagem enviada para os 3 contatos da usuárias: “Estou em perigo, me ligue imediatamente! Se eu não responder, essa é a minha localização.”
Esse aplicativo fica camuflado no celular, disfaçado com outra função para que os agressores não desconfiem. Além disso, para divulgar o app com segurança, sem que os homens descobrissem, os criadores utilizaram blogueiras famosas e programas femininos de moda e beleza, para falar do aplicativo no meio dos videos ou da programação, e também com anúncios em banheiros femininos, salões de beleza, nas etiquetas de biquinis e em produtos de higiene feminina e cuidados com corpo.
Segundo a empresa que criou o app, mais de 250 mil pessoas fizeram o download do aplicativo. Esse número representa 24% de todas as mulheres que têm smartphones na Turquia, e o sistema foi acionado mais de 100 mil vezes desde seu lançamento.

A violência doméstica contra as mulheres é um grande problema na Turquia e em muitos outros países. A maioria da mulheres tem medo de pedir ajuda, pois tem medo do que os outros vão pensar dela e receio de denunciar o agressor e isso acabar gerando mais agressão, porque muitas vezes as autoridades não tratam esses casos com a seriedade necessária. Mas o mundo precisa de mais empresas como a Y&R Team, que criam programas e sistemas inovadores com o objetivo de melhor o mundo e salvar vidas. Pode ser um passo pequeno, mas eu acredito que é assim que podemos mudar o mundo, com um passo de cada vez.

App helps to save women in Turkey
One out of three women suffer of domestic violence in Turkey. Therefore and with the intention of making the world a safer place for women, Y & R Team Red Istanbul has created an innovative app to help women in dangerous situations. This app when activated by the user, only by shaking the phone, send an alert message and a call for help for 3 emergency contacts, previously registered by the user, along with the woman’s location.
Message sent to the 3 contacts of the users: “I’m in trouble, call me immediately ! If I don’t answer, here’s my location:”
This app is camouflaged in the mobile, disguised as another function so that the aggressors won’t get suspicious. In addition, to promote the app safely without men founding out, the creators have used famous bloggers and female fashion and beauty programs, to talk about the app through the beauty tutorial videos or feminine programs, also with advertisements in women’s restrooms, salons, bikini labels and feminine hygiene products.
According to the company that created the app, more than 250,000 people have downloaded the application. This number represents 24% of all women who have smartphones in Turkey, and the system was triggered more than 100,000 times since its release.

Domestic violence against women is a big issue in Turkey and in many other countries. Most women are afraid to ask for help, for fear of what other people will think of her; afraid to report the aggressor and the denounce end up only generating more aggression, because often the authorities do not treat those cases with the required seriousness. But the world needs more companies like Y & R Team, who create innovative systems in order to make the world a better and saver place. It may be a small step but I believe that’s how we can change the world, step by step.
